Disclaimer and Site Content Information

The content on this website is not intended to be medical advice. This site is a resource and collection of information gathered by a former ostomate who has had a successful reversal surgery, and who wished to make it easier for others having this surgery. Our intent is to answer many of the most-asked questions, and to provide a basis of information. Seek the guidance of your care team for more details where they are needed.

The information presented is gleaned from online medical sources (linked wherever possible), and from the best advice available from fellow ostomates who have been through reversal.

Many of the initial summaries were created using ChatGPT, but the resulting content on the page has been through human editing, review, and the addition of details to ensure accuracy and completeness.

If you have medical questions or concerns, please speak with your health care professional. If you are experiencing any type of medical emergency, please call 911 (or your local emergency number if you are not in the U.S.).
